As I ponder the arrival of another year and the promise and adventures to come, I’m amazed at how quickly time slips away. New Year’s Day has come and gone as has almost the first month of 2015. In the vein of new ideas and adventures, I’m dusting off the ole blog reshaping it to reflect more of what life is about for me now and I’m excited. I have typically coded my themes myself, trying to learn CSS and HTML as I go, but this time I’ve purchased a cute theme based on the Genesis framework from a talented designer on Etsy. I thought it fit me nicely and provides a jumping off point for my plan to learn how to code/design using Genesis; I think it’s my attempt at keeping my inner techie happy and somewhat relevant.
We have been quite fortunate lately in the weather department; the weekends have been rather pleasant, reserving the cold and/or yucky days for the “work” week. As a result, our little family has been spending time outdoors swinging, trying to get the hang of Badminton (a gift from our Baba), and playing with the T-Ball set. Both of the girls enjoy the family time and we get some fresh air and exercise too. Katya’s racket is almost as big as she is, but that doesn’t stop her from trying to join in the fun.
Nadya is really making progress with her serve and Katya can hit the birdie when Daddy tosses it to her.
Nadya is using an Aluminum bat now and practices with Daddy pitching. Katya does well with the T, but wants Daddy to pitch to her too.
Katya loves to swing and would spend hours on the playground if she could!
Look who is missing her two front teeth!
We continue to delight in our educational and homeschool activities. Katya loves Ms. Tammi, her preschool teacher (she attends 2 days per week at a local Faith-based program). Nadya and I volunteer at the preschool one day per week and run errands or work on her lessons the remaining day. Typically we spend mornings and occasionally early afternoons on school, but that’s a post for another day.
Have a great day!
